2025 Call for Presentations
The Graphic Communications Education Association (GCEA) is pleased to invite submissions for presentations at our 2025 Annual Conference. The Conference Theme—Navigating the Future of Graphic Communications Education—focuses on exploring innovative strategies, emerging technologies, and effective practices that will shape the future of graphic communications education. We are seeking dynamic, thought-provoking presentations that inspire meaningful discussions and provide practical takeaways for attendees.
Topics for presentation proposals may align with the conference theme—Navigating the Future of Graphic Communications and should fit within one of the three conference strands—Prospects, Pathways, and Possibilities.
Conference Strands:
Prospects: The potential opportunities, strategies, and innovations that empower students and educators to address challenges and embrace advancements in the evolving graphic communications industry. Presentations for this strand could include, but are not limited to:

Approaches to challenges and opportunities within the industry

The evolving landscape of graphic communications education
Pathways: The educational and professional trajectories shaped by successful collaborations, case studies, and evolving practices that connect academia and industry within the field of graphic communications. Presentations for this strand could include, but are not limited to:

Case studies and success stories in educational achievement

Curriculum and course updates and improvements

Effective teaching practices for graphic communications education

Development and importance of industry partnerships
Possibilities: The innovative and interdisciplinary opportunities that push the boundaries of graphic communications education through the integration of emerging technologies and creative approaches. Presentations for this strand could include, but are not limited to:

Integrating cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum

Innovative or unique approaches to graphic communications education
Presentation Format:
Presentations are strictly scheduled for 20-minutes, this includes time for audience interaction and questions. Presentations must be delivered in person at the conference; virtual presentations will not be accepted.
Submission Guidelines:
Proposals must include the following:

Indicate the primary strand your presentation aligns with:

2. Presenter Information
For each presenter, provide:

Email address
If multiple presenters are involved, designate a primary contact to receive all communication regarding acceptance and scheduling.
3. Presentation Title
Provide a concise and descriptive title (12-word limit).
4. Presentation Description
Include a brief overview of your presentation (under 100 words). This description will appear in the conference program if accepted.
5. Abstract (required field)
Submit a detailed abstract (150–250 words) outlining:
